Idunno how often you get to ride up/down Capitol Hill, but it is part of my daily ride. It is something of a bitch, that occasionally moves a bit down the right-hand side of the speed chart.

I never knew there were so many facts to take into consideration before hopping on a bike. Having to consider all of that before leaving would totally exhaust me and thus prohibit me from biking until I am I've sufficiently recovered.
(However, I think an infusion of caffeine would do the trick. Of course for me, it would have to include some chocolate syrup to really ramp up my energy.)

It's important to point out that "not supposed to" =! "illegal". Some "not supposed to" places are illegal but not all are. They're just ill-advised.

That's pretty much how I feel re: the 14th street hill, which at least has bike lanes. The most terror-inducing part of my commute is also the most fun, though – that's speeding around the stalled vehicle traffic in Dupont Circle. whee!

Plenty of places are illegal, but not really all that thrilling. The "ill-advised" category tends to be much more interesting.

You're using a line chart for category data! *foam*froth*spittle*

I tend to think 'not suppose to=ill-advised=illegal. If I think of them as illegal, I'll just ignore them unless I haven't had enough coffee before I leave.

Don't suppose you would post exactly where in the world those three graph lines converge?

It's more a situation than a location. I was weaving through cars that were stopped at a light. Then they weren't stopped at a light.

And this surprises you? I think DC drivers might almost be as bad as NY drivers.

Try refreshing. Speed increases whenever effort decreases but I had fixed that and reposted it.

I think you have speed and effort mixed up there? Why would speed decrease and effort increase, as you are going downhill?
