The System 302: The Produce Stand

This is the true story of South Amboy, New Jersey.  South Amboy was once the record holder for most liquor stores and bars per square mile, a record which sadly has been taken away.  As a note, I do not live in South Amboy, but my parents do.

I did this entire comic from the Rosscott, Inc. uStream channel, you can check out the vid of it’s creation start to finish here.  I announce uStreams on the the Twitters and then record the creation.

As for #303, it will be up late on Monday and will be a huge recap comic, much like #100 and #200.

Are you a product of New Jersey? Wonderful. Now I can tell my students that they should represent Jersey because we have great minds like William Carlos Williams, the Boss, and Rosscott.

I used to tell people as we were driving by a local porn palace, "See that business? It's been here as long as I've been in town. I've seen Christian book stores come an go all over the place. What does that tell you about community standards?"

And that was despite the fact that the sheriff used to raid the joint about three times a year, dragging along his trophy wife and us poor media tools.

Let me tell you, it's a challenge to shoot pix in a porn joint that you can print in a family newspaper. (Although we always managed to get some great juxtapositions of the trophy wife and various appliances for the bulletin board.)

    Appliances, eh?

I like how this could be interpreted as an Apple store, with the same punchline.
