The System 264

I looked around and through all the “chart jokes” I could find, I didn’t find one like this.  Wonder where I would chart, considering I made the graph and the comic about the graph?  For that matter, where are YOU on the graph?

i skipped the 'programs specialized reading engine' and actually went on to make my own comic. though as with most of my efforts, it was rather abortive.

I have to say that yes I read comics when I'm bored at work (and ironically one set of particular cartoons have become apart of my weekly routine) - HOWEVER in my defense they are political cartoons AND it started b/c part of my job is to keep abreast of political news and policy soooooo I frequently check newsfeeds of major networks and MSNBC highlights some of the best on there "the week in political cartoons".

(and whats really sad is not only did I take the time to comment on this but leave a fairly lengthy comment - eh thats august for ya) :-P - love your comics though!

Well, think about it, creating a graph is actually a form of work. Who knows, you might have to create one for a project–you never know. Of course, I don't think I would show it to your boss as an example of how proficient you are at creating them.

I would like to see some sort of timeline on it just so I know how it progresses. Plus it is an upward graph which is generally speaking, a good thing.

Good use of your time. Now spending time on this might make better use of your "reading room" time if you take a laptop w/you (of course I don't suggest letting anyone see you taking it w/you; might want to hide it under your shirt).

Ok, so just how many of us *have* written their own comic reader? (Or done it twice, and early version in Delphi and a complete rewrite in VB.NET?) This afternoon's run began with:

I've been at 'Blogs About Comics' and 'Considers Writing Comics' lately… not going to program any specialized engines though…

I'm at "plagiarizes comics on blog", wherever that would fit in…

There is a "Gödel's incompleteness theorem" joke in here. I just can't place it.

Where would I be with over 40 comics I check daily and over 100 I check everytime I *know* they update (As in, checking 3 times a week for the m/w/f comics). This being AFTER I lost my whole favorites list due to some nasty viruses that forced me to re-format.

As a note, I'm actually working with a couple friends to start up our own webcomic… but I stay away from blogs…

Let me know how that turns out!
