A shit-load and a butt load are the same.Their only diffrence is a geographical one. They are both slangs used to communicate the same amount but from diffrent parts of the contry. One is an East- Cost word and the other is from the West-Cost.

I have an experiment they could use to find out. Get a dump truck and fill it with shit. In the end, if all the shit they used to fill the dump truck weighs more than a ton, it shows that a shit-load is in fact, more shit than a shit-ton. If it doesn't, the shit-ton is more.
