Designing is one of those under-rated incredibly hard jobs. I don't know how you guys do what you do.

I think I would be exhausted after all that and just want to go home and fall onto the couch watching meaningless tv (most of it is). I like the drinking coffee and a drink part the best.

this is the exact same process I use for writing papers… just replace designer with grad student and replace client with forty year state department veteran who thinks he can teach grad students…. perrrrfffeeeeecccctttt

that model can be used to explain teaching also. confusing supervisor, tea, email, why you ever became a teacher, other teachers just as confused. the system is modern philosophy.

Amen.
Next should be a panel where the client asks you to make their logo bigger (to the point of ridiculousness), put something "colorful" in all that "pesky empty space" (oh dear lord…) and then for sh!ts and g!ggles, "can you add a starburst or two, to make it *stand out*?".
Panel following should show said designer with one of the following pairs: noose and footstool, shotgun and tool shed, prescription pills and bourbon, bathtub and toaster…

Sorry, I guess I forgot to calibrate my cheeky-response-o-meter to "normal society mode" and instead left it on "b!tching to fellow coworkers mode"… Oops! ;D
