Stationery vs. Stationary. If she left you because of the definition, she must be a very good language expert and also an idiot!

She sent you out for stationery so she could write you a love letter and you stayed stationary. Your stationary stationery condition left the letter unwritten. The train of thought pulled out of the station, so to speak.

OK, that's weird. I am catching up this awesome serial, and I get to this comic. About 2 hours ago, I added the word "stationery" to the list for the State Spelling Competition for which I'm the word editor.
Synchronicity weirds me.
