Looks like The System is spreading.  Rosscott, Inc.’s internet crush Rick Marshall seems to be reading enough to see when I post on the blog.  It always amazes me that anyone reads the blog.  Hi Rick!

Greetings, to all the readers of BikeCommuters.com!  They had some nice things to say about the comic, and some accurate things to say about me:

Based on the cartoons’ content, I can gather that the artist is a bike commuter, graphic designer and a serious smartass — thumbs up all the way around! There are several other commuter-friendly strips in his collection, too.

Commuter, graphic designer, and serious smartass?  Sounds like I should make business cards.

I don’t think I need to say anything that this trailer doesn’t say for itself.  Enjoy!

More Proof of the Future

According to Gizmodo this is real, though I still want to call bullshit on it.  This is a missile with multiple warheads that split off, but the scary thing is the video of it calmly floating through the air.

The Lockheed Martin’s Multiple Kill Vehicle will be the first anti-ballistic missile system designed to search and destroy multiple warheads and countermeasures using a single launcher. First, the MKV-L will fly to encounter the cloud of multiple warheads and decoys being deployed by the enemy missile. Then, instead of exploding, the MKV will maneuver through the threats launching several kill vehicles, each targeted at the different objects on the air, both real dangers and dummies set to deceive missile defenses.

Does this freak you out too? Link.

Fallen Art

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

I saw this 5-minute animation as part of a touring animation festival a few years ago, and absolutely fell in love.  Yesterday I saw someone had posted a link to it on Veoh, and had to sit and watch it again.  It’s a dark but hilarious video about a very odd bunch of soldiers entitled “Fallen Art”.  Link.
